His Eye is on the Sparrow

My favorite hymn at the moment.  His eye is one the sparrow and I know He watches me.  I sing because I'm happy and free.  Good stuff.

So since I last blogged, my world has changed, just a little, ok, alot.  Last time we spoke I was headed off to the work weekend with GOV.  Fun.  So then while there things changed.  I was extra invited to take part in the J127 program they were running, two days after the conversation.  So yeah, of course I'm here at the Mission on this 9 week discipleship training course.  Boom.  Last week I had plans, I was going to pound the pavement and get a new job, I was planning on selling some chicks we just hatched, I was going to a concert.  I was having life.  Now I'm still having life, just in a tottaly different way I was expecting.  I have to admit I sort of love super fast unexpected changes on the spur of the moment.  It makes things exciting.  At least, after I give everything to God, before that I'm a basket case.

"Let not your heat be troubled" His tender words I hear.  And resting on His goodness, I loose my doubt and fear.  By the path He leadeth, but one step I may see.  His eye is on the sparrow and I know He watches me.

When I know I'm in God's will, I honestly do loose all doubt and fear.  It's a wonderful thing to not have to be concerned because God is watching me, even when I can only see one step ahead.

Here I am, off on a new adventure, the cross before me, the world behind me, no turning back, no turning back.  Another great song right there.

  1. It's really cool that you are finding a direction in life, and are surrounded by people that you can trust and will be there to support you! I know I often tease you for your beliefs and mannerisms but I still look forward to reading about your travels and experiences. There is little in this life as exciting as going to new places and meeting new people, keep your mind and eyes open :)

  2. So proud of you Victoria. I know you thrive on this kind of excitement. You are truly a free spirit, seeking orders from your Lord first, of course. Love you! Mom
