Another "Must Add" to the Armory

Obviously, I find swords symbolic, but for a while now, God has been showing me some things about shields.  Shields are a primarily defensive weapon, so I've never really paid much attention to them.  Then I noticed in the Bible that when swords are mentioned, it can either be positive or negative, but whenever you read about shields, it is ALWAYS a positive thing.  A thing of refuge, protection and comfort, something a weary warrior can appreciate.  The Psalms, which have been my constant encouragement this past winter, is chock full of talk of shields.  How God is a shield for His children, a protection, and something you can hide behind and always count on to ward off attacks when you're too tired or wounded to be on the offense.
 In a nutshells, shields are awesome.

The Lord is my strength and my shield;
My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped;
Therefore my heart greatly rejoices,
And with my song I will praise Him.
Psalms 28:7 NKJ

Ok, a verse that includes strength, shields, trust, and singing, what more could you want?  Seriously?
