Happy Time

I'm packing again!  This time it isn't to go volunteer at a ministry or go on a missions trip which is generally the only reason I ever pack.

I'm headed to my old stomping grounds of New England.  Boston to be exact with a trip down to my original hometown Plymouth thrown in for good measure.  My friend Amanda and I have been making plans for this, for a while now but only today did all the puzzle pieces fall into place.  Amanda needs a vacation, badly, and I like Amanda, and concerts, and adventure.  This trip has all three.  I don't even know if I like all of Rascal Flatts music, but it doesn't really seem to matter.  This really isn't about seeing the sites and going to a concert or even going to see the dear north Atlantic, who I haven't seen in years.  It's kinda just about being there and hanging out with a person who might just end up being in the "really good friend" category.

I'm excited, and that isn't a common emotion in my world.  I neatly pack my jeans and tee shirts in little stacks, listen to only the peppiest Disney songs and thank God for this opportunity.  It's been a rough couple months and though I was so glad to visit GOV I was working there, it was a vacation from home but not a vacation from life.  Hopefully this will be.
